ECHS Dancers Place Fifth at National Competition
Competing against dancers from more than 200 high schools nationwide, the El Camino High School Dance team placed fifth overall in the recent USA National Dance competition. The team is the first from ECHS to represent the Wildcats at the national competition.
Exclusively dedicating themselves to representing the school’s dance program, each of the team’s five members maintains a grade point average of at least 3.3. The team is led by advisor Natalie Daniels.
Board of Education Meeting Tuesday, April 22
The OUSD Board of Education will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. in the district board room, 2111 Mission Ave. The meeting is open to the public and provides an opportunity for public comment.
Due to the spring break holiday, this will be the only meeting for the month of April.

Scholars for Tomorrow Take Home Big Bucks
Nearly $1,100 was awarded to a group of OUSD fourth grade students who participated in this year’s “Scholars for Tomorrow” Essay and Model Building contests sponsored by the Mission San Luis Rey. Winners and their teachers and parents were honored during a celebration at the Mission this past Wednesday.
