TK-5 Revised Progress Reports for the 2015-2016 School Year
Revised OUSD Standards-Based Student Progress Reports
During the 2014-15 school year, a task force of teachers from across the district collaborated to revise our report cards. This work resulted in the development of standards-based progress reports for transitional kindergarten through grade five. The 2015-16 school year will be the final year of implementation before formal approval by our Board of Education.
Revisions to the progress reports include the following:
- The content areas for English Language Arts and Mathematics have been aligned with the state’s standards
- The life skills section has been updated
- The grading has been transitioned to a numeric rubric to create a fully aligned system from transitional kindergarten through grade five, and to more accurately communicate a student’s level of proficiency in each of the essential standards
